Flood waters are going down

Posted by Dan Baxter on January 25, 2012 at 5:50 PM

The weather here in the Valley has been very strange, first it started off with 3 days of snow, then we got over 4" of rain which brought flooding. We ended up having over a foot of water in our barn at the ranch, we were moving horses and mules to higher ground, our pastures and hay fields were full of water. It was very nerve racking 4 days of flooding, both of our boys stayed home from school, the road into town had 2 miles of water over it up to the doors on our Dodge 4X4 pickup. But the flood waters are going down now and things are getting back to normal (somewhat)

We have some new mules and horses in training from around Oregon, and California. They are at different stages in training from starting ground work to riding on the trail course to actual first rides on the trail.

Everyone stay safe, grab some leather and a deep seat in the saddle and Happy Trails.
